Join us in protecting and restoring Wolf Creek

There are many ways you can get involved and help protect and restore Wolf Creek. This page has information about becoming a member of WCCA, subscribing to our online discussion group, attending our monthly meetings, and spreading the word by writing letters and contacting your elected officials. You can also volunteer to be a creek monitor.

Become a friend of Wolf Creek
Joining Wolf Creek Community Alliance is simple: just send us your contact information via a web-based form. We won't share your name or information with anyone! At the same time, you can make a donation pledge.

Donate
Your donations can help us buy more monitoring equipment, pay for more lab tests, enhance our community outreach efforts, help educate the public about the benefits of creek restoration, and cover administrative costs (501c3 filing, this website, etc.). All donations to WCCA are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. You can donate quickly and easily through PayPal. Just click the button below. The money can come from your PayPal account or your credit card. Or, you can send donation checks (made out to Wolf Creek Community Alliance) to WCCA, P.O. Box 477, Grass Valley CA 95945. You can also present a check personally to any member of the board of directors. Contact Gordon Baker, our treasurer, for more information: 530-273-8977, Gordon@gordonbaker.com

Attend our montly meetings
Meetings of Wolf Creek Community Alliance happen on the fourth Thursday of most months, from 6:30 to 8:00 pm, at the N.I.D. building on West Main St. in Grass Valley. Park behind the main building; the meeting room is a smaller building on the east side of the parking lot.

Help spread the word
You can help educate people about Wolf Creek's value and spread awareness about how we can both protect the Creek and transform it into a tremendous community asset:
• Tell your friends about Wolf Creek and Wolf Creek Community Alliance, and encourage them to come to our meetings.
• Write letters to the editor. Jonathan's Other Voices column printed in The Union on November 9, 2002 is an example of a good letter, and provides some important talking points.
• Make your concerns about Wolf Creek known to our elected officials. The Grass Valley Neighbors website has contact information for Grass Valley city council members, Grass Valley planning commissioners, Nevada County planning commissioners, and Nevada County supervisors.
